Money Won’t Buy You Health Insurance - NYTimes.com

PLEASE READ AND PASS ALONG. I am self-employed and going thru a very similar situation. Many people wrongly think that anyone is able to get insurance and don’t realize the difference between a employer-supplied “Group Plans” and trying to get insurance on your own.

I have been denied twice thus far, both for different reasons, and am struggling to find coverage other than the state-run catastrophic insurance pool (which is expensive with horrible premiums - and is STILL GOVERNMENT BACKED INSURANCE!)

IF YOU TRUELY BELIEVE in the benefit of small businesses then you should be supporting healthcare reform - not fighting it!
